Who can apply

Open to most nationalities

  • Fee-paying student (non-EU/EEA)
  • Applying through the regular Studyinfo.fi admission round (not the open university route or transfer)
  • Exceptionally qualified, judged on academic record, educational documents and scholarship letter where required
  • Programme must offer the scholarship; not all do

Deadline

Apply in the master's admission round: for autumn 2027 it runs from 14 December 2026 (08:00 UTC+2) to 7 January 2027 (23:59 UTC+2), with attachments due 14 January 2027. Results by 23 March 2027.

Deadlines move a little every year and some close early. Confirm the date on the official page before you plan around it.

Documents you will need

  • Admission application on Studyinfo.fi
  • Educational documents and transcripts
  • Scholarship application letter if your programme asks for one
  • Other programme attachments, uploaded by the attachment deadline

How to apply, step by step

  1. Step 1: Check the programme

Confirm your programme has a 2027 intake, since some programmes have none.
  2. Step 2: Apply on Studyinfo.fi

Submit your application between 14 December 2026 and 7 January 2027 and pay the EUR 100 application fee.
  3. Step 3: Upload attachments

Upload all attachments, including any scholarship letter, by 14 January 2027.
  4. Step 4: Read your admission result

The scholarship decision comes with your admission result; no separate application is needed.

Conditions if you accept

  • Covers only 50 percent of tuition; you pay the rest and living costs
  • Total scholarship time cannot exceed the normative duration (two years for master's)
  • Plagiarism leads to a warning and then cancellation of the scholarship
  • Detailed terms come with your acceptance letter

Tips for a stronger application

  • Only nine awards were made in 2026, so do not rely on this scholarship alone.
  • If you are not selected, the EUR 2,000 early bird reduction applies if you accept and pay within 21 days of admission.
  • Upload clear, certified educational documents early; the academic assessment uses them.
  • The official fees page lists only a 50 percent tuition scholarship, so plan for the other half of the fee.

    Pays
Set per faculty each year. Example: the Faculty of Science awards one AMS of EUR 26,125 for the September 2027 master's start, paid in monthly instalments. It is a grant, not a tuition waiver, so you still pay full tuition.
