Questions people ask
Is 65 points enough to be invited?
65 is the minimum to lodge an expression of interest. Invitations go to the highest ranked people in each occupation, so many people need more than 65. Check the recent invitation rounds for your occupation.
Why is my employment capped at 20 points?
Points for skilled work in Australia and overseas are added together, but the official table caps the combined total at 20 points.
Which English tests count?
Home Affairs accepts several tests, including IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge C1 Advanced and OET, each with its own score for competent, proficient and superior English. Check the official English language page for the scores that apply to the date of your test.
Can I apply if I am 45 or older?
No. You must be under 45 when you are invited to apply for subclass 189, 190 or 491.
Does this calculator store my answers?
No. It runs in your browser. We count anonymous results, such as the score, and never your name or contact details.
