Who can apply

Open to most nationalities

  • You need a bachelor's degree or equivalent, or be in your last year and graduate before the master's starts.
  • Open to students worldwide. No more than 10 percent of scholarships may go to the same nationality, so your nationality matters little but competition is high.
  • You must be a full-time student, as the scholarship can only be awarded in full.
  • You cannot apply if you already received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarship before.
  • Each master's sets its own academic and language requirements, so read the programme page.

Deadline

Set by each programme. Most master's programmes accept applications between October and January for courses starting the following academic year. Check the programme website for the exact date.

Deadlines move a little every year and some close early. Confirm the date on the official page before you plan around it.

Documents you will need

  • Requirements differ by programme. Expect a CV, degree certificates and transcripts, motivation letter, language proof and references, and check the programme website for the exact list.

How to apply, step by step

  1. Step 1: Browse the catalogue

Search the EACEA Erasmus Mundus catalogue and note which programmes still offer scholarships, since some are near the end of funding or only use the name temporarily.
  2. Step 2: Read the programme page

Each master's website lists the entry requirements, the application steps with and without a scholarship, and the deadline.
  3. Step 3: Apply to the consortium

Apply directly to the institution or consortium running the programme, usually through its online platform, and tick the scholarship option.
  4. Step 4: Prepare supporting documents

Gather transcripts, language results, references and a motivation letter early, since many consortia ask for all documents at the deadline.

Conditions if you accept

  • Scholarship holders must study full time and complete the mobility periods set by the joint programme.

Tips for a stronger application

  • Apply to several programmes, but check each programme's own rules on how many scholarship applications it accepts.
  • Do not pay anyone. EU scholarships are not granted for a fee, and EACEA warns about fraud.
  • Check that your chosen programme actually still offers scholarships for your intake before spending time on the application.
  • Sub-Saharan Africa has a dedicated share of EU funding for extra scholarships, so mention your region and development goals where the programme asks.

What we can and cannot promise

Jandify Global gives guidance and prepares documents. We do not decide visas, admissions or scholarships, and we cannot promise an outcome. Those decisions belong to embassies, universities and funders. Read the no guarantee policy.

This result uses the general rules. Your own documents, finances and history can change it. Have an advisor check your exact case.
