What it pays

A 100 percent waiver of Bocconi ordinary tuition and fees, renewable for the full legal length of the Master of Science if renewal conditions are met.

Fields: Business and management, Economics and finance, finance, management, data science, public policy

Who can apply

Open to most nationalities

  • Applying to the first year of a Bocconi Master of Science programme
  • Awards are split between International, Italian and Bocconi candidate categories, so international applicants compete in their own pool
  • Selection is mainly on academic achievement, with the full admission file also reviewed
  • No separate scholarship application: you are considered through your admission application

Deadline

The 2027/28 published pages are not out yet; in the 2026/27 cycle most awards were given in the first admission rounds. For 2027/28 entry, international Round I runs 1 to 29 October 2026 and Round II runs 30 October 2026 to 26 January 2027, with later rounds closing 11 March and 29 April 2027. Confirm the award rules for 2027/28 on the official page.

Deadlines move a little every year and some close early. Confirm the date on the official page before you plan around it.

Documents you will need

  • Online application through the Bocconi admissions portal with the EUR 100 fee
  • Undergraduate transcripts and GPA converted to Bocconi's grading scale
  • GMAT or GRE score, or the online Bocconi test
  • Dossier and motivation written in English
  • English certificate, required after admission and before enrolment

How to apply, step by step

  1. Step 1: Book the Bocconi test or GMAT/GRE

Take the GMAT, GRE or online Bocconi test early so your score is ready for the first rounds.
  2. Step 2: Apply in an early round

Submit your Master of Science application in Round I or II, since most merit awards go out in the first rounds.
  3. Step 3: Wait for results

Any award is communicated together with your admission result.
  4. Step 4: Accept online

Complete the online scholarship acceptance and upload an updated CV within the enrolment deadline.

Conditions if you accept

  • Renewal for year two requires at least 50 credits by 10 September of the following year and timely enrolment each year
  • The award is tied to the admission round and programme; switching rounds or programmes forfeits it
  • Accepting another Bocconi benefit of equal or higher value cancels the award
  • Withdrawing or transferring forfeits the award, and false declarations mean paying full fees

Tips for a stronger application

  • The award covers tuition only, so plan how you will pay for housing and living costs in Milan before you accept
  • Apply in Round I or II: later rounds have far fewer awards left
  • A strong GMAT, GRE or Bocconi test score gives the committee a common benchmark alongside your transcript
  • Bocconi's funding page also lists the need-based ISU Bocconi Scholarship; check whether you qualify for it as well
