See how much money you are expected to show for a student visa, broken into living costs, tuition and any special account. Add an exchange rate to see it in your own currency.
Step 1 of 6: Destination
Indicative only. Nothing you enter here is saved or sent anywhere.
This result uses the general rules. Your own documents, finances and history can change it. Have an advisor check your exact case.
How it works
Choose your destination
Each country sets funds in its own way: a monthly amount, a fixed yearly amount, a blocked account or the school's estimate.
Add your details
Enter months to cover, first year tuition and dependants. Type an exchange rate if you want the amount in your currency.
Read the breakdown
See each line, the total, any special account and notes on what the figure does not include.
Questions people ask
What counts as proof of funds?
Usually bank statements in your name or a sponsor's name, with supporting letters and evidence of where the money came from. Each country sets the format and how long the money must be held, so read the official page.
Why does my result say it is partial?
Some countries publish no fixed amount, or the amount for dependants changes too often to build in. In that case we show what we can and tell you to check the official figure.
Is tuition included?
It depends on the country. The calculator adds your first year tuition where the country counts it separately, and says so where the official figure already includes it.
Does it use live exchange rates?
No. You type the rate your bank or exchange gives you, so you can compare scenarios and nothing is fetched or stored.
Want a person to check your plan?
An adviser can review your documents, funds and timeline with you and tell you what to fix before you apply.
