What it pays

Full funding for tuition, college fees and living expenses for both years of the Oxford 1+1 MBA (a one-year Oxford MSc followed by the one-year MBA). Check the current living grant figure on the Said Business School page.

Fields: Business and management, social impact

Who can apply

Open to most nationalities

  • Applying to the Oxford 1+1 MBA: one of the partner one-year Master's courses followed by the Oxford MBA.
  • Must be admitted to both the partner Master's course and the MBA before being considered.
  • Open to any nationality.
  • A clear commitment to finding scalable and sustainable solutions to world-scale social challenges, plus strong leadership and academic records.

Deadline

You must apply to the Master's course by its department deadline (usually December or January) and to the MBA by one of its stage deadlines. The scholarship has its own cut-off tied to the MBA stages for entry in 2027; confirm the exact date on the Said Business School Pershing Square page, which could not be read for this review.

Deadlines move a little every year and some close early. Confirm the date on the official page before you plan around it.

Documents you will need

  • Oxford graduate application for the partner Master's course (transcripts, CV, statement, references)
  • Oxford MBA application through Said Business School
  • Scholarship essay submitted in the funding section of the 1+1 MBA application (check the current word limit and question on the Said Business School page)
  • GMAT/GRE and English test results where the courses require them

How to apply, step by step

  1. Step 1: Choose a 1+1 partner course

Pick an eligible one-year Oxford Master's course that is part of the 1+1 MBA and check its deadline.
  2. Step 2: Apply to the Master's

Submit the standard Oxford graduate application for the Master's by the department deadline.
  3. Step 3: Apply to the MBA

Submit the Oxford MBA application to Said Business School within one of its stage deadlines, indicating the 1+1 route.
  4. Step 4: Submit the scholarship essay

Upload the Pershing Square essay in the funding section of the 1+1 MBA application before the scholarship deadline.
  5. Step 5: Shortlist and interview

Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in the spring; confirm timing on the Said Business School page.

Conditions if you accept

  • You must hold offers for both the Master's and the MBA to be considered.
  • Funding covers both the Master's year and the MBA year at Oxford, studied consecutively.

Tips for a stronger application

  • With only five or six awards worldwide, show concrete social impact work you have already led, not just plans.
  • Both admissions decisions must come through first, so apply to the Master's and MBA early in the cycle.
  • Confirm the current deadline and essay prompt directly on the Said Business School page, as some websites repeat old dates.
